Truss Designer for TrueBuild-Ready Plans

Job Title: Truss Designer – Roof & Floor Truss Designs: I need an experienced truss designer to produce roof and floor truss designs that I can cleanly import or recreate in TrueBuild (Eagle Metal software). Important: You do not need to use TrueBuild. You may use MiTek, Alpine, or any other professional truss design software. What matters is the quality and clarity of the deliverables so I can accurately bring the designs into TrueBuild. What I Need: Roof truss and floor truss designs from architectural plans Clean layout/placement plans Individual truss profiles with chords, webs, bearings, and dimensions Load assumptions clearly noted Preferred file formats: DXF or DWG for layouts and profiles (plus any native files or PDFs as backup) Designs should be production-ready and follow standard U.S. practices (ANSI/TPI 1) Workflow: You design the trusses based on the plans I provide. You send me the layout and individual truss files. I import/verify everything in TrueBuild. Sealed designs go to the truss shop for manufacturing.

Requirements

Proven experience designing metal-plate-connected wood trusses (roof and/or floor) Ability to produce clear, accurate DXF/DWG drawings or equivalent clean output Good written English for communication Responsive and able to handle revisions To Apply: Please include: Software you use (MiTek, Alpine, etc.) Examples of previous truss layouts or profiles (DXF, DWG, or PDF is fine) Your typical turnaround time Your hourly rate or preferred pricing method Start with a small paid test job so we can confirm the files import cleanly into TrueBuild.
