Trucking Bookkeeper & Payroll Manager Needed

I’m hiring an experienced bookkeeper and payroll manager for Felix Freight Inc., a small U.S. trucking company. We use QuickBooks and CarrierPay. I need one ongoing monthly service that includes catching up on approximately 12 months of disorganized records, maintaining the books, and managing driver payroll. Please quote one monthly fee that includes the cleanup, with no separate cleanup charge.

Responsibilities

• Clean up the previous 12 months of bookkeeping and reconcile bank and credit card accounts. • Reconstruct historical driver payment records and prepare accurate statements using verified payments and documentation. • Reconcile load revenue, broker payments, factoring advances, fees, reserves, and outstanding invoices. • Track fuel, repairs, insurance, truck payments, permits, tolls, and other business expenses. • Set up and manage driver payroll or settlements, including percentage-based pay, reimbursements, advances, and documented deductions. • Help evaluate a proposed 67% company / 33% driver split and define which revenue the percentage applies to. • Handle payroll processing, applicable filings, and year-end forms within your qualifications, or coordinate with our CPA/payroll provider. • Provide monthly profit-and-loss reports, balance sheets, outstanding receivables, and trucking profitability reports. • Identify missing documents and communicate issues promptly.

Requirements

• Experience with U.S. trucking bookkeeping and driver payroll. • Strong QuickBooks cleanup and reconciliation skills. • CarrierPay experience preferred. • Familiarity with factoring, percentage-based driver pay, and S-corporations. • Clear communication and secure handling of financial information.
